@selea I just bought a cheap charging station without any "smartness" at all because I don't trust the manufacturers to handle IT Security. To be honest it's the same with the cars, it's scary how they "need" to be connected all the time, cars have been running just fine disconnected for hundreds of years and a different motor doesn't change that.

@selea @mihor Which one you get deeply depends on the charging capabilities of your car. My Nissan Leaf e.g. can only charge 1 phase 16A so getting anything beefier than that would be a complete waste of money. As for the brand it's good 'ol cheap ass DELTACO 😄

@selea I've never used it myself but there's "kubernetes-client" in the main repo if that's acceptable for your use case. I agree it's weird that "kubectl" is missing though🤷

@selea Our situation particularly sucks since we've allowed the worst private companies (banks) to be the authority for identification instead of- you know- THE GOVERNMENT! TBF there are other ways of identification for the most important services like taxes but for basically "normal" life a smartphone with proprietary software/firmware is required these days 😥

@BrodieOnLinux In regards to having apps you start for desktop mode, TV mode, mobile mode and so on. The titles would just be "Launch Mobile", "Launch Desktop" and "Launch Big Screen Display" or just BSD for short 😈
