@Polychrome @bartholin You get an email up front asking you to login. It's pretty normal and actually reassuring that companies delete their customer data after a couple of years of inactivity. I anonymize my client's data a year after they stop being my client as well. It's good practice.

@Polychrome @bartholin I disagree. I need to keep transaction data for 5 years for tax reasons after that I'm recommended to delete it for privacy reasons. Even in healthcare it's not uncommon to delete patient data after a person has been diseased for over 10 years. I only anonymize data for the study / research value. Ubisoft is thinking in similar terms for good reason. After 4 years and refusing to login, they assume you're no longer their customer or maybe dead.

@stux I wish news outlets would stop fueling wars by putting people's attention on them. Maybe if news outlets would make people focus on uplifting positive happenings, politicians would start to look to being uplifting as well to remain in the spotlights.

@kaia I've traveled to most of these countries, and am often in Denmark. Except for the UK, Malta and Cyprus the map should be green. The other ones in your map are compatible with a standard European plug type C nevertheless. Sometimes you'll find both type sockets. https://www.worldstandards.eu/electricity/plugs-and-sockets/c/

@kaia Correct. It's almost always type C, E and F plugs fitting with European sockets. Except for 2-3 countries where an adapter is needed.

@jeffcliff The risk of serious side effects was far too high from a medical perspective, therefore it was pulled from the Norwegian market after a couple of months. Sure vaccines of bad quality save lives too. But why bother if there was a much better alternative at hand that can save just as many lives but with far less side effects.

@Radical_EgoCom I don't understand the fuzz either. People getting shot at is every day business in the US as far as I can see from the media. It's like it is normal over there. The list of US presidents, ex US presidents and presidential candidates getting shot is not short either. It's part of US culture. Nothing to see here, move on.

@eff I agree with what's written in the article. I do think Apple makes some good points with their locked ecosystem and requiring everyone that wants to be on their platform to play by their rules. Apple has been for decades the place to go for people that just want their devices to work, thanks to Apple's strict policies. Those that want to tinker with their devices have a choice to buy other brands. I still think EU should force Apple to not block apps based on content/theme. cwnbr
