#3GoodThings Wrote and posted a new blog post this morningFinally spoke to my Mum on the phone after some words were had and we'd not spoken for a month or so. Still not happy with the parents attitudes to some things, but got through it by not going near those things. Dad's a different issue for another time.Roast chicken dinner with my own grown, picked five minutes before cooking, green beans and carrots.

Good morning feditootersThe hard to breathe fatigue intrigue has now been solved, I think.Similar to yesterday morning, woke up 4.30am, couldn't sleep, tossed and turned for an hour or so, then suddenly I woke up groggy and it was 8.30am and... sniffles... sneezes... runny nose...Aha! Another bout of some cold bug may be the reason for some of the respiratory shenanigans yesterday then? Possible.Got up, shout of goodbye from J downstairs, she was off swimming. I asked her last night if she was going today, and she said no. By this morning, sometime between 11pm last night and 8.30am, that has somehow become yes. Such is life with J.Weather! Rained overnight, now lightly cloudy and not as warm as yesterday. No rain in forecast.Plans today? Pfftt. I'm a man with a cold.WEATHER UPDATE: IT'S BLOODY RAINING!#today

The beginning of September isn't too early to start hibernation, is it?

Looks like another day playing heavy showers roulette. Overdressed and looking silly if the sun stays out, relieved to be wearing proper waterproofs if a deluge hits. Or perhaps I should go au naturale and just get towelled down when we're done, like the the dog?

Pleeeease US peeps (or anyone else I suppose), if you're going to post a link to a news story about Trump, tag it with #USPol, or use the word Trump in your post, so I don't suddenly have an unexpected and unwanted picture of the daft orange cunt in the link preview in my home feed. It slips through my filters trying to avoid him and all the rest of your mad shit.

Note, being in the UK, I also filter out #UKPol to filter out a lot of our mad shit. The US is not the only place having loads of mad shit happening, so don't feel singled out.

Age is good isn't it? My knee is aching painfully now after I tweaked it a bit by...walking from the kitchen to the lounge with my dinner.

By the way, dinner off your lap in the lounge is standard procedure when the dining room of the house, and the nice big table in it, has been commandeered and put into use as a pottery studio for the last five years.

Good morning,The feeder is as busy as normal on a bright sunny start to the day. Greenfinches, the tit gang, and a sparrow squadron have not gone to church, they're here emptying the seed feeders.I happened to look out of the west-facing office room window ('dual aspect office' in estate agent) just at the instant a heron was making a flypast. I'm having that one for my 'species observed at home' list! It was heading south, so I swapped to the other window and watched it on it's way. There is a lake up on the Bodmin Moor about four miles away (as the heron flies), so I expect it was heading there to have a nice quiet fish in the sun. No rush. Herons have all the time in the world. Anyway, another blue tit investigating feeder picture.#BirdFeederNews

@futurebird That's me out on all counts. Very much non-USian, and a rural life rather than suburban. And a dog man.Otherwise it's a lovely video. ;)

Good evening. Triple whammy of stuff to keep me lying low today. Had some heart palpitation and breathing issues surface suddenly last night, felt snotty, sniffly and achy from the start of today, and have been struggling with leg weakness, balance and exhaustion as well.Perhaps there is a coldy type virus in there somewhere that is responsible for getting at my immune system and letting everything hit me at once.J had to do the dog walks, and it's been pouring down all day. Wet twice. What a shame.#today

Sorry, that may look a bit cruel, a bit mean enjoying J getting rained on today, my beloved wife... BUT this is the woman who decided to accompany me on my walk yesterday, and when we got to the location of the walk said "There's no way I'm going out in that. You go and I'll wait here in the car,"So the dog and I went and NEARLY DROWNED and came back and the car WASN'T THERE as she had decided to drive off to the town and 'pick up some bits' while we were NEARLY DROWNING.So we waited, under a fir tree for twenty minutes trying to shelter after we'd finished our walk/swim for Mrs Dry, Warm and Smug to turn up and save us.We were not amused.

@futurebird Thanks, a good rest all day seems to have helped... along with lots of drugs.
