@creamqueen @thegreatape well, they say "my client will be sending the payment" and "serve as reference that you were paid" - they are trying to send *you* money to use your photo! :blobaww: Pretty sure the actual scam here is either (1) to get your credit card/ bank acct/ other info :blobglare: and/ or (2) to steal your money by: giving you money, then asking for some of it back ("oh we need some of that for shipping"/ "oh, we paid you too much"), and then the entire amount disappears (bounced check sort of thing, though it doesn't need to be a check anymore) plus the amount from your account you "gave back". :blobglare: This one is a bit riskier because it's pretty time-sensitive but I still see a lot of these, too.Pointing out that "if you end up trying to file a lawsuit for using your pictures without information" is to try to sound like your written permission isn't enough and you *have* to take their money (so they can get an "in" for whichever scam they're working).
