Pleased to find a few MapRun courses available while stuck in Cadiz today. Trying to find a map and then get it printed was more of an ordeal. Used my MapRun.uk internal logic to pull down the usually hidden course metadata, munged it over a Citrix virtual desktop over 3G into PDF and then emailed reception on the cruise ship for printing. Topped the leaderboard on the 'Dificil' course, but everyone else mis-punched, so a hollow victory (too many tourists to be quick!): https://www.p.fne.com.au/rg/cgi-bin/SelectResultFileForSplitsBrowserFiltered.cgi?act=fileToSplitsBrowser&eventName=CombinedResults_Cadiz%2520Dificil.csv

Loving watching Who Killed The KLF on Sky Arts. Drummond and Cauty - what geniuses. And Last Train To Transcentral is still amazing over 30 years later

Not sure I like this weird Windows domain-joined *nix box I found in an episode of The Simpsons, but at least the permissions look OK.

Since I upgraded to Samba 4.20 on my #NetBSD fileserver, my #RISCOS #RiscPC was no longer able to open files for writing. Did a quick search and found that #LanMan98 was open-sourced in 2021 and I'm pleased to say the latest version works brilliantly. #retrocomputing

Busy week upgrading all VMs to #NetBSD 10.1 to allow switching to HVM from PV (as #XenServer and @xcpng have dropped support for PV and unfortunately do not support PVH either) which means moving to uEFI booting rather than pygrub loading the kernel. Just waiting for the next #pkgsrc quarterly release to move the remainder over with nice fresh packages.

Thanks to all our customers who run their own #selfhosting #NetBSD VMs with us for helping with this migration. Our #FreeBSD and #OpenBSD VMs were already running HVM. Yes, we #RunBSD and provide hosting in our UK datacentres (also #Windows and #Linux as required)

@ricci I once had a handwritten note put on my motorbike in #Cambridge saying that where I'd parked it was interfering with the experiments on the other side of the wall. Mumble, mumble, magnetic resonance, gravitational distortion or something. I just took a look at Google Maps to see what department it was, but it's possibly changed as it is now the Centre for Speech Language and the Brain
