@ercanbrack I comfortably switched all my Reaper projects over to Linux.Thanks to some of the incredible plugin bridges, I can use (almost) all my windows plugins (almost) pain free!I was able to remove the need to have #windows in my life.

This is not rocket surgery, folks. At the onset of the #covid19 pandemic, #NB was the "safest" province. We locked down, wore masks, distanced, and most importantly, had no crowds, anywhere. Then, we removed all those restrictions, and went from 0 to 60 almost over night. Does anyone have a good line on any info posters or pamphlets containing a summary on #covid information?I'm thinking it's time to go door-to-door at all the local businesses, and have a sit-down with the owner and talk to them about #covid19 and the fact that our #government and #publicHealth are not helping us. We must do it ourselves. We must bring back our own mask mandates and social shaming for those who wish to spread and receive disease. I will hobble from business to business, armed with info and a cautionary tale (my personal #longCovid experience).

In 2023 #newBrunswick had 13 drunk driving fatalities. This is part of a pretense that is bringing sweeping changes and extra power to law enforcement. Also in 2023, at least 240 deaths due to acute Covid were reported. This is only the tip of the iceberg for this number, as it includes ONLY those who died while in hospital from acute #covid19. @futurebird I feel like most Canucks have an advantage here - we've been using both measuring systems since the 60's. While we're officially metric, the majority of people measure certain things in imperial:- Body weight (in lbs instead of kilos)- Body height (in feet/inches)- Drugs (this is weirdly interchangable. We'll sell by the gram up to 28, then it's an ounce)- Cooking (again, just a potpourri of sae/metric)

@Radical_EgoCom I've been thinking a stateless, bottom-up approach makes the most sense. Workers of the world make the world work. The elites act as a stiff faucet - occasionally dispensing a trickle of capital. We can smash off the faucet and take buckets to the well. Take, in isolation, the healthcare system. Arguably their largest problem is terrible upper management. The way healthcare workers recommend fixing their system, is to have the workers (nurses, doctors) in control, driving requirements and policy from the floor, up. I like to visualise it as a wave of common sense flooding in from the bottom, bursting out the windows of the C suite, taking the board with it. The healthcare providers already have their orgs in place - they just need autonomy to do what they need to do. Likewise the energy sector. Who knows the sector better than those who work it? Etc. The same goes for schools, transportation, you name it. Lobbing off the top of the pyramid - the whole C-suite - will more or less allow the working groups below to do what they need to do. Rather than a totalitarian at the helm, decisions will be democratic, by those who produce the labour or goods. A tempory state is still a state, and a state ain't what we need.
