Ffs, kick me in the shins and call me George. This is just getting worse and worse. And it's not just the US that is failing Ukraine. EU, NATO have demonstrated serious weaknesses, e.g. the lack of full force reaction against Russia and the fact that support and loyalty expires quickly for some members. If the aid stops, and Russia wins? Who will be next? The Baltic States? We don't have time for Republican powerplay bullshit. Do men of today believe in the old lifeboat-chivalry, where it is self-evident that women and kids should be saved first, and men should be the ones to be sacrificed in an extreme situation? I´m torn. I have no doubt I would want to save the kids first, but do civilian women deserve to live more than men because of vaginas? On the other hand, I can´t really help finding it incredibly unmanly if a man saves himself and leaves a woman behind. I am not asking about militay law but morality. (2/2)

@kravietz @VikingChieftain @anderspuck It depends on who wins in the end, I guess. I'm not so sure anymore, that the US and the West will win against Russia or China in a direct or indirect war. There are strong forces within our countries threatening to make us selfimplode.

@VikingChieftain @kravietz @anderspuck But that all depends on a strong NATO existing in the future. Would NATO survive Trump as president? Or a US civil war? We're not going to be able to put up much of a fight if we can't find a way to deal with our internal messes and stand together in this.

@anderspuck @nazgul @Qybat @chris @taylorlorenz Are you staying on Thread? I'm not sure. I like how it's super easy to network and, for example, write about reading experiences, which I like, or post fun stuff, but the downside to Thread is that it is very difficult to find someone who will have an actual conversation about serious topics. I've had many great discussions here on Mastodon though.

Er der nogen, der kan svare på dette? Hvis Rusland eller et andet land sender et missil afsted mod et vestligt mål, fx en by eller et militært mål i et NATO-land, hvor lang tid går der så før nogen på vores siden kan registrere, at noget er på vej? Sker det øjeblikkeligt og automatisk med satellitter, at der kommer en advarsel, eller må man vente på, at et menneske registrerer, at der er kommet noget på skærmen? Jeg tænker, at der går lang tid før man ser det på en radar, pga. jordens krumning.

@eva_chaos @kimwulff I'm afraid I don't have that much confidence in the ability of the American people to make rational decisions. They elected him once before after all. It's the main flaw of democracy. People are easily manipulated. Even Hitler was democraticly elected in is days.
