Actually, I think Librem 5 and PinePhone do serve a purpose.Since I've got a PinePhone, I actually realized how little I actually depend on a smartphone.I'm going for a 2 hour commute on a train, just listen to music, check the time, and other than that I just sit there doing nothing.Music can be replaced with some MP3 player which is way more portable than a phone, and for time we still have wrist watches.Meanwhile, Japanese trains always feel like being in the middle of a smartphone-zombie apocalypse every single time.I would have meditated if it wasn't for the pre-recorded "CORONA CORONA MASK MASK" notices coming out of the intercom at random moments.Only when I meet with friends I need to check LINE once in a while in case any of us got the wrong train or are getting late for some other reason, so it's nice to have a way to let the group know about it.LINE can easily be replaced by XMPP for that, the problem is that everyone else in the group uses an iPhone, and there is no XMPP client for iPhone that doesn't suck.So as of late, if I go somewhere alone for a while, I leave my phone at home, all my friends already know I don't check any of my phones that often anyway. If I go somewhere alone for much longer, I just take my PinePhone with me so it functions as a portable router for my laptop which I also have with me.I recently bought myself a dedicated video camera, so my GrapheneOS phone can just stay home.

"I hate Bitcoin because newbies think it's a way to get rich", wouldn't the video be called "I hate Bitcoin users" instead? It's not Bitcoin's fault so many people think or use it like that, neither is Nakamoto's fault.

I don't even understand why so many Americans make such a big deal out of pornography.Maybe they consider it morally wrong, but the entire rest of the world doesn't really care as much, yet they believe their moral compass is universally identical, and therefore they go on a desperate crusade against even a tiny bit too much exposure of the skin, regardless if the character in question is real or fictional.
