@JonathanMBR Did you perhaps think of mentioning what the mystery *is*?

Why is company training these days always in fucking pop-up-book form? Pull the tab to explore what Tabitha is thinking. Click around the desk to find the security threats. Press each of the buttons to learn more. For fuck's sake I'm not 6 years old any more. Just give me a fucking static document to read.

These online training things often end with the opportunity to leave feedback. Lately, I'm mostly typing in "I didn't read it".

If they wanted me to actually read the text, then how about (a) SHOW ME THE FUCKING TEXT, like, all at once so I don't have to go expanding sections and shit to find it, and (b) ENOUGH ALREADY with the stupid fucking animations. I'm trying to READ THE TEXT.Fucking infuriating.

Today's training (you'll be *amazed* to learn that this thread was inspired by the fact that I've just done some training) was security related. One of the questions in the quiz at the end was along the lines of:"You should rely on 3rd-party penetration testing", true or false. With no apparent thought given to the *multiple* layers of ambiguity in the question.

What does the (maybe true, maybe false) statement "You should rely on 3rd-party penetration testing" even mean?- Does it mean "rely" in the sense of "is the report that you get back worth the paper it's printed on"?- Does it mean "rely" in the sense of "it's so wonderful, you won't need any other form of security defence"?- Is the implied emphasis on the 3rd-party -bit, i.e. you should prefer 3rd-party testing over 1st-party?We are not told. But anyway, pick true or false. One of them is incorrect. Good luck.
