@ScriptFanix @actuallyautistic A few years back #AntiRacism became a special interest, and from there #AntiColonialism.I now see with different eyes - not as "Israel vs Palestine" at all, but an ongoing holy war enabled/resourced by the British Empire because of Christian #Zionism.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Zionism#Early_British_and_American_support_for_the_Jewish_return_to_PalestineViolence didn't start in my lifetime, nor is it about "Arabs" and "Jews" - far more about Christian oppression of Jews, Muslims and Arabs.Christians wanting Jews to "go elsewhere".

@strypey When born I was declared a citizen by the Canadian Crown, at that time still calling itself the Dominion of Canada. I celebrated "Dominion Day" for the first 14 years of my life, and then that was rebranded "Canada Day" to generate further confusion. Most Canadians consider the Canadian Crown (official name for the Government) a "democracy".I did a thought experiment a few years back to clarify my own thinking....https://mcormond.blogspot.com/2021/02/canadian-democracy.html

@strypey @actuallyautistic "As a consequence WP articles reflect the combined bias of news media, academia, and other domains that serve as its sources."I believe we are agreeing. I didn't mean to suggest Wikipedia is itself the *source* of the bias. What the Western World, especially the Anglosphere, considers "neutral science" is "Western Abrahamic science".Scientific method is neutral, but what questions are asked, how you observe, and how you interpret all have human bias.

Asking @actuallyautistic We have all heard the phrase: "You are either with us, or against us".I've observed for many people, given that choice, they will not want to be perceived as against anyone so will claim they are "with".I don't believe very many real-world scenarios are binary, so I see this as a logical fallacy https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/black-or-white .If forced into that binary, I will always say "against" given I reject the question itself. Is that an #Autism thing, or is that just me?
