I get the argument that quote posting provides a less social way to interact with a post, but not everything is a conversation with the original poster :blobshrug: Also, I think it's funny that there are fediverse projects that support quote posting and they're 100% compatible with mastodon because, well duh, they just put the link into the post.

Can't believe I have to install the official mastodon android on my own phone to test if it breaks.It was much easier when I could just poste stuff publicly and wait for people to tell me if it broke their stuff :blobsad:
