       Hi gents, I just joined. I've been doing lots of programming in Python and Ruby lately, with some beginner-level C in the mix as well. If anyone has suggestions on what to branch out to in order to expand my skillset (maybe something functional?), then I'd love to hear them.

       @newt @tanjaostman I can definitely verify your point about how it feels to be a young person who doesn't use social media. While it's not totally socially incapacitating, the massive effect that social media platforms such as Snapchat and TikTok have in configuring the speech patterns, sense of humor, and social mannerisms of their users can create a lot of distance between people such as myself, who choose not to use these applications, and people who use them often (or seemingly constantly), and those people seem to comprise the majority now, at least in the college space.
