       @stux I still miss the sound of a modem connecting. you could always tell if your modem was going to connect or not and each modem on every persons computer was always unique with the tones. It was almost comforting in a way. Honestly...I really miss old computer noises. Someone should make a case or something that mimics those sounds similar to how EVs mimic car engine noises.

       @kaixin since I consult/freelance I tend to work remotely alot in various places. where ever I feel like sitting and working on a given day, keeps me out of the house.One day i'm in library and I'm just surfing the internet on qutebrowser and working on my wm. i'm not using a mouse, i rarely use a mouse or touchpad for anything anymore. I caught this guy who was sitting next to me just in a state of amazement that I was surfing the web without touching the trackpad (qutebrowser uses vim navigation) and switching windows and opening terminals in the same way. He had like a gazillion questions and said "you're like a hacker in a movie!"

       @stux I remember waiting in line for the midnight launch of the original Xbox. he had saved up for months to buy the thing an the ONLY thing he wanted with it was a game called "Cel Damage". It was like a cel shaded version of Twisted Metal. I told him "I dont' know man, I've been reading in magazines and online about this game called Halo. I think you should  get that also. and he did. We played that thing for like 12+ hours straight, didn't sleep.Meanwhile I was in line with him not for an Xbox but to pick up either Zone of the Enders or Metal Gear Solid 2. can't remember which, all I know I was the ONLY person that night that bought a PS2 game and the looks I got from the xbox fanboys....oh boy.
