       @lauren What happens when AI chatbots start learning from other AI chatbots? Not that I have any problem at all with being able to opt out, but it's wild to think that AI bots could actually reach some peak quality bar and then only get worse over time as they regurgitate the same things that other bots have already spit out.

       @lauren I mean, give people time, selling cars is a pain, and it's been a relatively quick jump from reviews like this (https://www.wired.com/2013/08/tesla-model-s-crash-test/) to today. I agree that buying a new Tesla today is not a good look. Sporting a "sorry, didn't know at the time" bumper sticker is acceptable for older models.

       @mekkaokereke An incredible resource for music history is Andrew Hickey's "History of Rock Music in 500 Songs." https://500songs.com/ Highly recommend, it shows clearly how rock started as Black music and became co-opted by white musicians.From this I learned many Black music styles we don't call rock today would have been called rock at the time; white writers in the 70s claimed the term for guitar driven white music and invented names like "girl groups" for groups like The Marvelettes.

       @mekkaokereke it's also an incredible project. It's going to take him 10 years to cover all 500 songs at his current rate. He's a bit less than 3 years in at this point.
