@lizzy@social.vlhl.dev quite frankly unless you have a good reason to learn vim or emacs don't botherthey can be very efficient once you figured it all out, but then you'll have locked yourself with that editor, and every other editor will feel weird

yeah i wish, as much as i love WMaker and GnuSTEP, its pretty much dead, it needs some deep distro integration to function fully that no one bothers setting up because it goes against basically everything, the only way you can get a functional GnuSTEP is through a distro specifically meant for it, last time i checked only calculate linux has thatCC: @phnt@fluffytail.org @kirby@freerobuxextremist.com @zuki@snac.pinkro.se

yk something that annoys me about Freedesktop the most is how awfully undocumented it issteam tries to call a method in org.freedesktop.DisplayManager for the desktop switchsince i dont want to install a whole display manager, im going to implement a stub that serves these dbus functionsthere appears to be NO documentation on which methods org.freedesktop.DisplayManager actually needs to provide?? like what the fuck how do you make a system api that everyone is supposed to follow but not document what has to go in it
