       @popolon What phone are you using? I remember trying Xournal++ on my Pinephone. I wasn't as laggy. Xournal++ uses Cairo for drawing as well.

       @popolon In #xournalpp you should activate "Touch drawing" in the touchscreen tab of menu `Edit > Preferences` to draw with touch.In Rnote there is the option "Draw with Touch input" for the same purpose.

       @popolon Well yes, the #xournalpp GUI is currently not very usable for mobile phones. I have created a redesign of the settings dialog (and some other UI elements) with LibAdwaita, which would change this dramatically. See https://github.com/xournalpp/xournalpp/discussions/4561#discussioncomment-7016461.There is no consensus though whether we should use LibAdwaita though, so I can't tell if it will ever get merged. Is there any particular reason why you would like to write/draw on a phone?
