@aurynn Tbh I don't have a problem with Tumblr having ads on their instance along federated posts as long as the ads stay local to their service. If they want to provide a worse fediverse experience than people can find elsewhere I say let them, what would they have to stop people from emigrating from their service?

@rato @digichelle Was about to say, I reckon a lot of people here are concerned regarding the infrastructure of social media or at the very least realized that centralized solutions are quite shit rn. Makes sense for those people to look at any black box of code running on their hardware with suspicion, or at the very least consider the possibility of there being something better out there.
