@twylo wifi on the reform worked right away, but it was really flaky for the first week or two because...there are 2 possible ways to configure your wifi AP, and if you install any tooling from both at the same time, they will FIGHT![aristocrats voice] "linux!"

@twylo wow i'd never heard of that and now *i'm* curious too... it sounds like being angry at the printing press or the concept of rocksmaybe it's because i don't think of the fediverse as a "place": twitter is like midgar, and the fediverse is like the rest of the universe, it just exists as-is and you make your own way?

@brion @MatejLach i bought one of those! (i was really excited to get away from the google/apple stranglehold) ... my biggest disappointment was how half-assed it was. it was just an android with the very top layer scraped away, they didn't actually replace any of the important/difficult parts :/

don't want to shame this project too much since, so far, it's the closest to what i'm looking forbut it appears that all tests are in a single 7kloc (!) file, and there's something called "daemon.py" which has an astounding 20klocpretty sure i've never even seen a *C* file with 20kloc! that is an impressive piece of work, and my brain would melt just trying to navigate it
