The latest additions to my ever expanding collection of physical media. Shout Factory recently had a sale on Hammer Horror movies, and I couldn't say no. I've never actually seen The Plague of the Zombies, so I think that's the one I'm going to watch first. Also lucked out because apparently I've gotten my hands on the last printing of Blood From The Mummy's Tomb before it went out of print. 😁@Aragmar @bobdub

End Of Month Soup!A delicious, cheap and easy recipe for the end of the month!Heat up a few cups of chicken stock and water (if you have it. If not, just water will do). Get you some potatoes, carrots and onions. Grate them coarsely while the broth is heating.Add the grated vegetables to the broth once it is steaming. Add a bay leaf (or maybe two!). Some salt, pepper and other spices if you like.Let simmer until the vegetables are at the desired amount of doneness and serve it forth.@Aragmar @bobdub @ladyred

Hey, @Aragmar! Turns out that hardtack actually does thicken a stew real well. I ground up a couple of those hockey pucks in my blender, and it soaked up all the liquid. I'm actually more than a little surprised that my $15 blender didn't explode or catch fire, but it worked.

I started my first batch of 'wine' in ages yesterday. Turns out, the packet of yeast I discovered hiding in my fridge was expired, so I added some regular yeast to help it out. So now the apartment is filled with the joyous stink of a yeast party going on.
