       Some people in the European Parliament are trying to legislate what an AI may think about.That's about as meaningful - and possible - as legislating what a squirrel may think about.Sure, go ahead and write that law, but don't expect it to do much.

       The "AI alignment problem" -- aligning the goals of AI with the goals of humans .. is an impossible problem to solve, since it is based on the premise that *all humans* share even remotely the same goals.
