@Argus Hi Derek, by choice accounts on conf.tube are only for content uploaders. This being said, you can actually comment and interact with the videos using your Mastodon account. Just paste the video's URL in the Mastodon search bar and you're done. Any issues, let me know!

@Argus This is really strange. I am also getting this error for some videos (for example https://conf.tube/videos/watch/d8c8ed69-79f0-4987-bafe-84c01f38f966, nice talk by the way), but not from all Mastodon instances.@support any ideas what's going on here?

TIL that the #Matrix client #Element has an "experimental, compact IRC layout". Much nicer than the default layout according to... me. You can find it under Settings => Appearance => Show advanced.

Throw a URL to an HLS playlist at youtube-dl and it will give you exactly what you want, without any further complications: one single file with the whole video, in the best quality available. It's beautiful. 💌
