I am still very proud of this song. It was never supposed to be on the album. Our studio was still set up for recording the Moral Panik LP, and I just recorded it in 10 minutes, just me and my guitar, without practicing, simply because I've known the song my whole life. If I were from the Orient, I would claim that I had been divinely inspired, but in my part of the world, there are no more gods. Through the fateful influence of J R “Bob” Dobbs, I came into contact with the Hermeticists on a transcendental level. When I read that they practice open access occultism, I became somewhat skeptical. To me, it sounds like an open house at the Freemasons. When something like what happened in Venezuela happens, you have to rely on the mainstream media. I tried the US media first—no luck. Then I tried the West German media—as usual, they were screaming that Russia was to blame and interviewing “experts” from Washington, D.C. So I ended up watching Al Jazeera all night, like billions of other people. I was totally impressed again. For some reason, they have competent observers everywhere on the ground, while everyone else is interviewing each other.
