Sorry this is so brief.IMO the golden age of streaming was not when there were many streaming services offering many many options, but when there were few services offering many options. Back then all the media companies sold their content to those few streaming companies. But those media companies saw how much money Netflix was making and wanted in. Also, because capitalism demands you grow, adapt, or die. They could not and cannot afford to let Netflix succeed without either growing or adapting.And while many consumers would love it if media companies went back to selling their content to streaming companies, that could be brand suicide in the sense of the brand admitting it failed, resulting in large financial loss.  My guess is that in the next five years, the changes in the acting and writing industry will be significant, but I have no idea of how they will manifest.
