@stux They just need to ban clients (apps) and access points (websites of said services). And when both App Store and GooglePlay Store are both American controlled that part is easy. Websites, slightly harder but they can do it as well. That shows a greater issue with the way how certain tech companies have too much control over people.If you can't access all the servers they can't control, people won't be able to reach them either. Very few people are willing to sideload or bypass things.

@futurebird Amazon is a more expensive AliExpress anyway. It's flooded with chinese sellers to a point it's impossible to buy brand names because Amazons product browser is just horrible. I've not bought anything on Amazon for years. I rather just buy in local stores and for cheap gadgets I still use AliExpress. We also have Chinese shops in my country, sort of retail AliExpress if you will. Not as cheap but always ready with no weeks long waiting.

@davidrevoy I've gone Waterfox and in just 1 day returned to Firefox because so many things just didn't work that did and still do in Firefox. Which is weird but still.

@davidrevoy I've tried and used so many browser in my life, but at the moment I have a priority of not using anything Google and to not deal with issues and BS. Firefox fits that despite all the idiocies Mozilla is doing as I don't have the time and nerves anymore to deal with random issues forks have that Firefox doesn't. Like, literally the first news streaming site for news I use didn't work in Waterfox and does in Firefox. So, there's that.

@BrodieOnLinux My Ryzen 5 2500U powered laptop that was declared "obsolete" by Windows 11 (and Windows 10 is discontinued). Runs Ubuntu very happily. Mind you, the hardware is VERY capable for all the multimedia and internet needs and probably even more. 4 cores 8 threads, 8GB RAM and 512GB NVMe SSD. How the fuck is this "too old" Microsoft?

@frameworkcomputer I just wish vanilla GNOME wasn't so damn clumsy. Why is Dash to Dock not a part of default GNOME is just absolutely baffling. Just add it as official setting so we don't have to dick around with extensions.

@stux Nope, it is real. Trump even argued with a jurnalist who visibly sighed when Trump went "he had MS13 written on knuckles". Not even explaining him the MS13 was photoshopped to the image convinced him. Imagine having a motherfucking president who is so fucking dumb and so fucking out of touch with reality.

@stux It's why I stopped pirating games many years ago. Everything I need I get from Steam and sometimes GOG because I feel like supporting DRM free platform and game studios who release there. I only use EA App for Need for Speed and Epic for the free shit hehe. Don't like prices on Steam, I grab stuff from CDKEYS. Music streaming is dog shit and video streaming is even worse. I only use Netflix coz I get it cheaper with my ISP and local service coz it's free by my ISP. And that's it.
