I have a new track out today! https://applytriangle.bandcamp.com/track/if-this-reaches-youIt's a glitchy, experimental trio for flute, clarinet, and MIDI keyboard/Max. There are Morse code and other ham radio samples, electric piano, and bowed cardboard box, and it's surprisingly groovy. The full album has 11 different composers, and you can find it here: https://applytriangle.bandcamp.com/album/oxalis-triangularis-vol-2#ContemporaryClassical #ExperimentalMusic #NoiseMusic #ChamberMusic #Clarinet #Flute #Bandcamp #FairtradeMusicFriday #MaxMSP #HamRadio

I got a new cassette at a noise concert (The Psychic Garden in Rochester) last night! It's "Spectral Doppelganger" by Magnetic Coroner. It's made with highly-degraded tape loops, layered, repitched, and covered in tape delay. I love the crunchy artifacts in the sounds. Here's one of the tracks: https://soundcloud.com/mcmc2017/magnetic-coroner-cloned-ghost-1#NoiseMusic #ExperimentalMusic #Cassette #CassetteTapes #AmbientMusic #LocalMusic

@davidrevoy I've definitely been suspicious about the future of Cara. While I appreciate that they are (for now) self-funded and don't seem to have any venture capital, I strongly agree with all the points here about what a social media platform should be, especially the one about being a non-profit.

I really like the idea of, instead of collaborating on a document via (for example) Google's servers and Google Docs, being able to have collaborators' computers talk to each other directly and share edits that way.I really hope that "local-first" gains at least the sort of steam the FOSS movement has — as I've seen people comment, FOSS doesn't help if your computation is happening on someone else's computer.https://www.wired.com/story/the-cloud-is-a-prison-can-the-local-first-software-movement-set-us-free/#LocalFirst #Cloud #CloudComputing #FOSS #Libre
