So I'm using NewsFlash new as local feed reader, and the OPML export is terribly broken π What a shame.

There's a sqlite DB I can poke, but... honestly, I don't have energy to do this at the moment.I looked at it, and the sqlite DB is as wrong as the OPML π€·

hah, looks like it is failing on wordpress blogs: it sets htmlUrl to the same value as the xmlUrl, which is the feed and NOT the blog URL.

I don't think I want to fix it myself, but at least I reported the issue: https://gitlab.com/news-flash/news_flash_gtk/-/issues/648This kind of breaks my blogroll script as well. I will workaround it for now π€·

The good thing about 8-bit games is how portable they are (essentially wherever you have an emulator).#amstrad #gamedev

TIL; Linters are called like that because of a C linter from 1978.> Lint is a command which examines C source programs, detecting a number ofbugs and obscurities.https://web.archive.org/web/20220123141016/https://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.56.1841&rep=rep1&type=pdf

@euneuber I didn't really think much about it, I mean, why "lint"?I used them first time around 2010 in python.

@EdS @euneuber yes, but why "lint" is used for this type of software? Well, comes from that linter in 78

@lain @hfaust @sun they do already, for example: https://librewolf.net/What bothers me is the amount of FUD people are spreading. Sure, Mozilla Corp is not great (or straight BAD), but is not like have that many options are the moment.

@Tijn in Spain you also have the one single ingredient, but I think is more common to mix two or three. Also, there's no limit on how elaborate can be that "single" ingredient.E.g. a classic: squid rings (with Mayo).

Wow, my instance is blocking (suspended says in https://mastodon.sdf.org/about ) oldbytes.space and I follow/interact with some excellent folks there. I don't know the reason, but I don't like it... @SDF ???

@SDF it is specially unfortunate because when people moved from the other site, a lot of the people in the retro-computing community went to that instance (not sure if because of the name or what was the reason). So some of those people I know from quite some time.

@SDF and the block is gone? I didn't dream this, did I? The block was there 100% sure, and apparently the people I was following... I'm not following anymore π

@EdS @SDF I'm re-following people that I remember, but can't be sure if I'm going to miss accounts.(independently of following back)All this feels very fragile. Either these links matter or don't; if is the latter, I don't want to keep using Mastodon.

Anyway, still don't know what happened but my instance mastodon.sdf.org blocked oldbytes.space temporarily; so I've lost all connection with the people I used to interact there (I'm not following, they don't follow).I've re-followed the accounts I remember, but to be honest... I don't pay that much attention to the domain π
In the same way I didn't know I wasn't following all that people, they don't know they aren't following me anymore π

I'm still disappointed by the moderator thing. I feel like I should move to a different instance, but I love the idea of SDF and I want to support it π
So perhaps I should ignore it all and move on π€
