@TonyStark I live in a rural area, lots of guns, but even here most don’t believe ppl with restraining orders and history of spousal abuse should be allowed guns, mixed on assault rifles, but the courts are even farther right than most gun owners.

@stopgopfox I just read the Desantis opinion piece. We can learn something from Desantis. He’s winning he’s winning Latinos, a vote we need. He’s horrible , he’s authoritarian and we need to understand his appeal to fight him.

@nytimes it’s more liberarían conservative vs Evangelical conservative. Libertarian conservatives have problems w/ liberal gun laws and environmental regulations or any for the good of society regulations, but they also have problems with evangelical. Regulation like abortion, book banning and aren’t keen on forcing corporations like Disney follow a Christian agenda.

We can’t license in any meanful way either. And the republicans refrain of mental illness… we we have no help for the mentally Ill. We seem to glorify violence as a way to solve problems, even without mental illness

@nytimes do you know how busing works in the south? Draw nice lines around nice middle class black neighborhoods bus them into affluent white neighborhoods. Then bus Poor white kids into what’s left and bingo you have black white integration but poor with poor and resentment and those affluent white get to say that they aren’t racist

@TonyStark @RuthZ for womens information. Emergency doctors and nurses can care for you whether or not they know about a self-managed abortion. In fact, the symptoms after taking abortion pills are the same as a miscarriage, and the medications in abortion pills don’t show up in blood tests. Ps in my teens “medical staff” told my family that I got the pill at the university health clinic. Be wary of telling your business to “medical staff”

@TonyStark we liberals set ourselves up for this. I’m sorry we just did. We gave them something that many have ambivalence. It became not just a personal choice for some but a personal choose that all had to embrace and many weren’t ready for this. Sometimes winning the war is knowing how and when to battle. We lose on this one even among moderates. Now i prepare to get the hate from my side.

@TonyStark no that’s not true…you have to make gender the second most important thing about you in many introductions..your name then your gender pronoun….Is an example. Instead of trying to get rid of gender stereotypes we are making our gender the most important aspect. I can’t have mixed feelings about trans in sports and there are reasons for mi iced feeling since at one time my daughter was in Olympic tryouts and the difference between male and female is undeniable

@TonyStark Good 16 year old amateur boys are better than Olympic women in certain competitions like pipe. If we believe womens sports are valuable then they should be womens sports defined by chromosomes ( just hormones don’t make all the differences). Now should someone live their life as they want by all means do. But I think we have caused a backlash instead of letting acceptance come.

That’s why it’s effective propaganda. To deny that it works with the middle is not wise. How do you get ppl to vote against the radical right. I can guarantee calling ppl transphobic and uneducated not going work
