@BrodieOnLinux you could also choose a tree the year(s?) before, but you had a choice

@BrodieOnLinux same, spam was a real issue. Still, I picked a tree one year, cause their shirt was lame.

@BrodieOnLinux @flathub I get the cool part, but I'm unsure of the usecase. categories are pretty random (and bad) already, not sure showing downloads makes much sense.

@SuperDicq @kkarhan @radmin doing a backend in js is the best thing you can do, if your frontend is also js unless there is another system your backend needs to work with that does not speak js.The improvement in dev experience, time to learn, bugfix and feature delivery is just too good.

I've added a new card to the landing page of flathub.org yesterday, focused on games. We have been trying to do this for quiet some time and I know that the results (as in what is in which category) are not perfect, but putting this out there hopefully helps us move things.#linux #flatpak #Flathub #web #nextjs #tailwind #xdg #freedesktop

@BrodieOnLinux @alatiera I mean I always wondered about doing a blog/walkthrough through the current way apps get included/updated. It felt unnecessary, because it's also documented in the docs, so it's not exactly news - but I guess labeling it as blog post would have non devs maybe read it :/

@BrodieOnLinux @alatiera I would be excited to come on. But @barthalion @hub or @bbhtt might be better, I only do the website - I don't review apps.

@BrodieOnLinux that idea using Anubis in an airgapped network is wild. For what reason? Keeping your colleagues from running ai training bots?

RE: https://mastodon.social/@Gargron/115737483111161917I find this kind of panic amusing. So far Firefox has some local AI features, all can be disabled, but sure let's move to a closed source alternative.
