So why is it when you #follow somebody on #mastodon it doesn't immediately follow them? @doctroid No pending follows on my follow list, but I do see "follow request pending" on a lot of profiles I attempted to follow.

@SDF @oversizedpanda I'm getting the issue no matter which remote server I try to follow on. I find it unlikely that EVERY remote server is failing to send an acknowledgement!
