@Twelve @cereal @matrix that is true, but i don't think its a contradictioneven then, when people consider the context, they still hold one moral principle over another, but not both simultaneously on the topfor instance, killing in self defense is justified, therefore it holds no moral weight, and it does not contribute to the moral debt as greatly as an unjust killing, and as a result, comparing that instance to "do not steal", then not stealing is the more immoral value in this contextboth are still ordered, and even war can be justified on the context of self defense (so long as it genuinely is self defense, and not just a manipulative tactic)

@Twelve @cereal @matrix useful as in from the previous statement, quoting:"by "useful morals" i mean, those moral priorities, that best reflect the reality of the world, so that an individual can successfully make his life easier on himself merely by trusting that a specific moral principle is required in a particular situation that he is in."so to elaborate more on this, i dont use the word useful as from the perspective of someone in partcular, but instead throughout the post, i've used the phrases "useful moral principles" to distinguish from all the other "moral principles" that are not necessary useful, but are insisted upon by a religious ideology for the sake of itself or for false premises that do not guarantee practical success in what the ideology claims to set out to achieve.communism for example does not function properly, because it deliberately attempts to circumvent reality through ideology. it tries to use arbitrary beliefs which if one were to believe and put into practice, will not gain him the practical outcome he seeks. therefore you can make the argument that it is useless from a human perspectivein order for beliefs to work, they need to have some root in reality, such that believing the beliefs results mostly in what you'd expect to see

@Twelve @cereal @matrix some things i forget to mentionall these things should be considered from the perspective of the individual willingly providing what he he is capableso if the individual is willing to go all the way to perfection then it is to be his choice alone, the argument here is not necessitate a collective standpoint that requires of the individual to fit a neat category, but instead it is that when others notice a "better than usual" outcome that they reward it proportionally, therefore incentiveizing that individual and all around him to also willingly try their craft so long as it is worthwhile to themselvesand wherever i provide the "bad" or the arbitrary non-useful moral principles, those tend to be the type which can not be considered from the "willful" perspective but impose some kind of unjust punishment or unjust disassociation wherever an individual demonstrates their willingness to hold and act upon useful moral principles

@Twelve @cereal @matrix > "No, that's not how property rights developed."> "Free speech was the result of religious freedom as I explained previously. Limited government is a relatively new invention related to the invention of constitution and similar laws earlier which gave privileges to some social classes."i keep repeating, that i am not saying that christianity invented any of the modern ideas,i never said "christianity invented it",but that you can justify their existence via christianity - literally the first two paragraphs of the postin your quote, i said "it is a moral foundation on which people can agree on X" that moral foundation already exists, and it is fully compatible with with modern limited government and you can use it to justify these modern classical liberal elementsand that you will have a harder time using other moral foundations like islam or even communism to justify ityou need a moral foundation to justify western capitalism or you will always have people arguing that "the west is evil" or "capitalism is evil" without you having any arguing point for its defence. in other words, you are always open to subversion.that is not the same as "christianity invented it", i dont know why you keep thinking that im saying that, that is not my argumentim saying christianity is more so compatible with these values, both in overlap of moral values but especially in their arrangement, than secularism or islamismbecause you need to morally justify in the eyes of the public the existence of free will/free market economy/individual rights/law and order, if you want to have any chance to preserve them, so that the public is not persuaded by subversion tactics to give up these things willingly.

@Twelve @cereal @matrixbut this is why i put specific importance on the ordering of the moral principlesand i also gave the example with the two hypothetical religions, and i made the argument that one will function better even if both have the same overlap but differently ordered priorities
