       @me @mekkaokereke There was a big discourse on Bluesky about these communal blocklists being more harmful than helpful. I don't disagree with some of their points, but I think overall I fall on the side that they are a useful tool. IMO, most of the arguments against are solved by (like many other things in life) being mindful of what blocklists you participate in.

       @futurebird @GossiTheDog I usually run it in a partition I don't really use except for games, which is a stripped down Windows install and I make sure everything is logged out and closed completely. But yes, a separate device would be another layer of safety. I *personally* don't find it necessary, but your use case may differ greatly from mine.

       @futurebird @GossiTheDog Especially these days, I'd argue there's nothing wrong with overkill. Especially if you aren't super tech minded, best practices now means best practices when you need it.
