@seth We are DEFINITELY thinking about it. Mastodon would have to get a bit larger to be useful in SparkToro, but right around 10M active accounts here and we're pulling the trigger. I'm hopeful to help make that happen (in small ways) with my own network!

To find out, we worked with Steve Lamar from Really Good Data on an experiment across 11 social networks and 16 types of referrals, measuring how much traffic these networks send without correction attribution. The full study suggests that if your website is getting a lot of activity in social networks, especially communities like TikTok, Discord, Slack, FB Messenger, Mastodon, and WhatsApp, attribution will be missed.
