@K The only wine bottle I know of that would fit would be those teeny Sutter Home bottles. That would be really awkward, because they're really short (proportionally small). So, she must have eaten the Pringles, then poured wine into it.SO MUCH WIN

@K my theory is that she ate the Pringles and then poured the wine in the can because it was lighter than the bottle, and has a theoretical lid ^_^

@K Yes, wine sippy cups are a thing.I don't drink, so it all seems a bit silly to me, but some of my friends like them.

@mprv I've been working on this since just before Christmas. I seriously need to blog it.My steps so far:* Whack farcebook, instag0rm, WhatsApe accounts (export data and save first)* Get a real email service provider (mailbox.org, in my case)* Get a 3GB free Nextcloud account hosted at hostiso.cloud* Check out MeWe and then Mastodon (Helloooo!)* Put Syncthing on all devices for a space-unlimited syncing folderPut IceCat and {f,g,m}-droid on phone* disuse fitbit tracker, export and delete fitbit acct* Use gadgetbridge on phone to get data from Amazfit bip watch without sending data to any company* avoid using GooglePloy and proprietary apps as much as possible* Use IceCat by default* Use NewPipe interface instead of official YT app (can export subs from yt)* Use MusicPiped (FOSS YT-based music app) instead of GooglePloyMoosic, deactivate GPM/YT Preemium subscription* Get an old #Thinkpad x200t laptop on ebay (Libreboot compatible), order drive rails, SSD, stylus, new battery** Install Windows XP on it to allow Computrace to deactivate itelf (OH the ignominy!!!!)** Whack WinXp with extreme prejudice, disable computrace and pseudo-disable Intel amt forever in BIOS** Install Manjaro+i3wm and live happily ever afterRefer to https://switching.social/ for more info || @switchingsocial

Hey @claudiom, @ChrisWere, @rysiek, @rtwx, @alexcleac, @kay, and other helpful, knowledgeable peeps:I want to start blogging again, and I want it to be a new blog. I just realized for probably the first time that my old wordpress blog has tons of ads on it. First time I visited it without an adblocker.I'm hoping for a blog hosting solution that is 1) free-software, and 2) will allow me to post updates from the commandline, using markdown, or even plain text. I may be missing something, but I don't quite see the advantage of a federated blogging platform, so federation is optional for this.Do you guys know of any good solutions? I don't mind slapping some simple cgi scripts on my super-simple, dinky personal website, but I'd prefer if it were hosted by someone. I don't mind paying a little for hosting.Any ideas/feedback massively appreciated.Danke schoen!

@kay Yeah, I'm wondering who's in charge of deprecating various standard utilities. Although I did find that ipconfig hasn't been updated in a long time, so I guess it's justified.Just a little jarring ^_^

@claudiom Yes, System 6 and System 7.Before that, it was just "Finder version X and System file version Y," and there was no unified numbering. I do miss the classic mac. I also miss laptops having real keyboards, which makes it SO jarring when I go between my 2008 Thinkpad to my 2014 Macbook. It feels like typing on a friggin' pizza box.#Cranky #needCaffieneP.S., I remember feeling disappointed that there was no 10th anniversary super PowerMac in 1994 (when the PowerPC macs were just starting to trickle in). Then, I felt confused when the 20th anniverary Mac was released in 1997, instead of 2004 (Apple's anniversary, rather than the Mac's).Now, I think that Apple has largely forgot what Macintosh MEANT, and is all ot happy to sell shiny sheets of aluminum for 30% over top dollar to happy yuppie boys and girls. It's a desecration of the spirit of what the name Macintosh meant, and they need to freaking just call it iPad Clamshell and iPad slate, and get over with it.#StillCranky #StillNeedCaffiene

@cocoron @cod3monk3y Just my two cents, but I don't really want to end capitalism, just the kind that destroys the earth and enslaves people. Bartering with cocoa beans is "capitalism."

@_mark How's the de-googling process going? It's one of my goals, but it feels really daunting. I can't think of too many google services I *haven't* used over the years, and I've had a google account since April 29, 2004 (dang, I thought it was later than that! -- just looked it up)
