How do you get any objective #truth in #media these days?I don't know what the solution to this is. Doesn't seem like there are incentives to fix.Media has moved from making money from subscriptions to making money from eyeballs and "engagement". Even government funded media needs to be sensationalist. There are no simple information articles presenting objective facts, giving a fair hearing to both sides anymore.People and companies have a trial in the court of public opinion just by being accused or are "under investigation". Even if they are later proven innocent the damage is done.Good example is this:Peter Schiff on 60 minutes (now being sued for defamation): https://youtu.be/S333his4q0oPerth Mint and Peter's bank on 4 corners: https://youtu.be/2kRvUZ7uk7APeter's response podcast: https://schiffradio.com/abc-four-corners-fake-news-exposed/There is always 2 sides to a story. But how does the ordinary person scanning the headlines know what to believe? Scary the headlines seem to be manufacturing some consensus of a #war against #china ...

#covid #lockdowns something the world got wrong. #china more than everyone else. Originally I supported the locksdowns. We didn't know how bad the virus was. Same with the vaccines. 1-2 made sense. 5 boosters, less and less effective against new variants. "When the data changes, I change my mind. What do you do sir"?https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-12757921/amp/Covid-lockdowns-NO-effective-Swedish-style-softer-approach-major-Oxford-University-backed-study-suggests.html
