Not thinking about getting #bluesky but I can get why people would like to go there. Sometimes the #fediverse can be downright hostile. Not in the X way but there is a lot of alpha-nerdism and sometimes even self righteousness. Most of the time I'm happy here, but when it's bad… it's really bad.

@toni I like the fact that moderators are working hard to keep things friendly but you can only do so much. Got dogpiled once I said something about crypto a group of people disliked. Ironically they belonged to a group that also demands that the fediverse is considered a safe space for them. Getting insulted by a bunch of randos is not a nice experience, I had a lot of blocking to do on that day.

@Solobasssteve I've had massive issues with Zoom as a software for taking lessons, dunno if it's not working with my audio interface or what, but the audio is incredibly garbled. Discord on the other hand worked tremendously. Arran was quite pleasantly surprised with how everything worked out after I asked him if we could switch to Discord for said reasons. Just my 2 cents, maybe this is interesting to you as well.
