@tanukichiI think the term coding was derived from the term source code.programming was derived from the term computer programming.By guess is programming was picked up by the professors and coding was picked up by the students.@veer66

@tanukichiwell I am looking at how would it evolve. Like who would say "I gotta write some source code" vs "I gotta program the computer"I would say the students or the interns who often had to do the dirty work but not worry about the theory would be the ones saying "I gotta write some source code"where as the professors whose job was how to find use the computer for practical purposes would be the ones saying "I have to program this computer"@veer66

@VD15 cool, I hear soo much about Unity that I was guessing that's what you would be using but its nice to see C/C++ is still being used. I've been curious about making a game or two for steam. Maybe/maybe not/but curious. If you need an assistant, I could help with level maps, game AI if its not too complex or testing. Like an intern just to see how is the industry these days. All I use thou is Linux cause I distanced myself from Microsoft ever since they required OS vertification. I got a Vista PC in storage somewhere.I can do C fairly well. I've done C++ but its been two decades.

@r000t I kind of like it, because it promotes peer to peer software as opposed to having a server in the middle providing a service. it also promotes decentralized solutions. easier to divide the web into 2 parts. The PG13 web and the adults only web. if this law is implemented inside the home routers it world be perfect. You dont have to worry about monitoring your kids computer. The only thing he could ever access is pg13 stuff. The companies who loose the "protection" are the ones like facebook. Like the respect your privacy anyways

@VD15 I don't mind helping out developing a game. dunno about it being "pirate" since I would like my efforts to be freely distributed. But as long as I can work on it on a Linux PC, I would help.

@VD15 well, me too, I have half-finished projects. I made a compromise with myself. I am not going to abandon my mainline project but that means I do have to abandon the idea of making games. But I still want to make a game or two, so I figured help somebody else make a game or two is a good idea.
