It is also the United States' largest drinking holiday, ahead of the Super Bowl, and serves as a testament to just how deeply Mexican-American heritage is intertwined in US history.For this reason, US-born folks tend to enjoy Cinco de Mayo more than Mexican-born folks, who regard it with disinterest and befuddlement. The actual Mexican Independence Day is on September 16.

I have yet to see a real criticism of Mastodon in the press beyond "It's hard to use!" which is a corporate-originated lie that is nonetheless propagated by simple confirmation bias. For my part, I've found this network FAR easier to use than Twitter, especially because the apps and API work a treat.Folks choose to join Discord servers all the time, yet choosing a Fedi server is too hard? Gimme a break. 🙄
