@kev I think plenty of people will comment on Mastodon rather than the blog itself, so I personally don't think it's worth having them. I've rarely seen useful or interesting comments on blogs and websites I've visited.

@wowaname @jeffcliff The length of the CoC should not make you steer away from an instance. I agree with everything in Fosstodon's CoC and can see a direct reflection of its effectiveness in the content of the local timeline. Fosstodon tries to stay relevant to FLOSS, and manages very well.

@wowaname @jeffcliff However, I don't have an issue with you running an instance with whatever CoC you want. You've chosen your method, presumably because you think it's best. I don't mind variation in how instances are run, it's a good thing, but I'm both happy with how Fosstodon is run and believe the rules in the CoC to be fair and positive. There's no reason for me to change instances.

@kelbotI'm on Moto G4 Play, it's pretty good but you'd probably want more RAM. 1GB is only just enough, you'd be better off with more. But for a £90 phone it's very good. I'm using Lineage OS and I haven't had any issues beyond a drop in battery life (I think that's an issue with Android 7 though as other phones also suffer) and the NFC doesn't work.

Well today was a "five hours of sleep and five coffees" day and now I feel completely wrung out and shaky, but also I just took a step back and realised at 19 I'm writing some little scripts for a certain large British aerospace industry manufacturer and my boss has just trusted me to get on with this without his input even though the deadline's soon and even though I hardly know bash anyway. So it's kinda good as well as tiring but wow does bed sound nice right now.

@djsumdogI knew I'd get criticism for posting that! 😂 I didn't know, my knowledge of the command line is improving slowly but still pretty low level.
