       #Important and #Ugly #Discovery for myself and may be some of u:Each pay period I only get a match upto 6% of my eligible salary into the #401K. So, if I contribute much more each pay period, then I reach my yearly limit early and will not contribute any more for the remaining pay periods. So, for the remaining pay periods I do not receive any #match. This translates into getting less match than you are eligible for! Feel #cheated. :-(

       @tek I contributed fully but didn't get the 6% match! The 6% match was limited to each pay and it didn't total to a 6% match for the year. Illustration:Say 150K/year => 9K match if full match received as promised by Org.Now, I contribute 1K each 15 days and receive 375 each time. Total contribution 1375 each 15 days. In 7.5 months, I reach my total contribution limit of 20,500 for the year 2022. I get 5625 matched and not 9K!!! Ideally, the system should inform & alert if not anything  else.

       @tek Thank you - I didn't think that 'IRS defines so'. Will check it out. I think IRS should correct that and companies should help too. Big Employers like mine provide tools for #401K and those #tools should help with this sort of #issue / #math/ education/ #choice that is easily handled with software.
