@killyourfm Very nice layering! I think you’re vocals/voice is solid. I get it though, we all hate listening to our own voices. Lol

@killyourfm Ok. I listened with a couple different low cost cans; KZ ZSTX IEMs and some slightly modified Koss UR40s. The KZs have a V curved EQ while the Koss have a slight bump in bass and maybe a little freckle in treble. The track is great! The layering of the vocals is well done and adds more depth to the song; it makes it feel more “professional studio” recording. I definitely dig the song. I listened to it 4 times in a row without getting tired of it. Here are my critiques.

@killyourfm This is coming from someone who likes to listen to music, but is no way a professional audiophile. I feel the EQ on the track could be tweaked just a little to combat people that will probably listen in the car or on regular cans. Perhaps a “notch” out of the bass and 2 “notches” out of the highs. When I was listening with the Koss, the bass was a bit heavier than most rock tracks, and the sibilance was almost there. In the KZ’s these 2 things were amplified.

@killyourfm Of course, everybody’s ears are different and everyone’s taste in frequency is different. It’s just some things I noticed when comparing to other rock tracks I listen to. One more minute thing I could add is to bump up the vocal frequency so you are more audible. However, this may fix itself when the other 2 come down. Freaking awesome track though! I will be listening in my car on the way home. BIG Foo Fighter vibes and I know you like to hear that! :blobfoxheadphones:

@killyourfm Awesome! If you plan to do any Steam Deck discussions, I’d love to join in. I sold my gaming PC for it and have been loving it a lot. I can’t wait to see an update to the podcast when it comes out. :)

@killyourfm @thunderbird @kde I agree. Electricity impact needs to be discussed more often and in a lot more places. Where I live in the US, electricity has been getting more expensive. Our monthly bill has basically doubled in the last year. Businesses have been impacted by the costs of utilities as well. Not only does this help save money but it also reduces overall environmental impact. Gone are the days of OCing your PC and turning off C states.

@killyourfm @thunderbird @kde We have been thinking of living within our means, and that includes our tech. I looked at our March bill, and if you take our kW hours used and divide it by our total bill (taxes and all), it’s 3.87 per kWh.

@killyourfm @libreoffice perhaps Davinci vs Kdenlive? Idr if Davinci is still a pain to get GPU acceleration on Linux.

@misty Luke over at LTT mentioned in the last WAN show they still have positions open so maybe you’d want to look into that? Besides Floatplane, they work on lttstore.com, which uses Shopify.

@killyourfm @cassidy Man and I thought I was the weird one that had Christian Rock while I was in school. Ngl there was Red, Thousand Foot Krutch, Switchfoot, Skillet, Kutless, 12 Stones, Jars of Clay, POD, Newsboys, Stryper…. These are unlocking memories for sure. Lol. I swear a lot of these rock bands were just using the Christian record studios to get their music out without much competition.
