Another wonder the #JWST has just shown us - dust rings. Well, actually dust shells, perfectly regularly formed every 8 years around this binary star system, at a particular point in their gravitational interaction. @pronounshe Mmmm. That's a good example of why I went all digital a while back. True, there's some aesthetic value in, say, an LP with gorgeous artwork, but there's even more to be said for being able to move and not have back-straining boxes to heft around.

More than a little irked that Gargron's response to his instance flooding the fediverse with spam includes a proclamation of doing everything possible, including turning on approval-mode registration.The absolute bare damned minimum that you'd expect of even the newest admin.On top of his legendarily apathetic attitude to moderation, building up a massive instance with no meaningful moderation, only now beginning to accept that might be useful.Please: if you're on m.s, find somewhere better to call home. What's the absolute most simple way of composing a reasonable webpage? I'd like something basic to show off maybe a dozen of my photos; doesn't need to be anything more than thumbnails leading to a page for each, preferably without any JS involved.
