@fitheach Many countries have multiple languages, country codes are a poor way to encode them, as you point out. But if you use emoji letters for language codes, many will map to flags. I don't know what metadata Activitypub encodes about posts, but I see in the UI of Mastodon ways to limit languages already. The labeling should happen on the protocol level

@valerauko Like that you have two sorts, because ls sorts by default. I'd use find with a suffix glob instead, since there may be nested directories, mixed content, etc.find . -name \*.jpg | sort...

@fitheach I don't have any language filters enabled right now, but that sounds like it should work. I know you were talking about language codes but what part of emoji did you mean? The regional letters combine into flags. 🇫🇷 =🇫 🇷

@tkenben @nevali it's a broken vision for the future since cross-polination of ideas is important. Usenet has groups, but you can subscribe to multiple differing groups and crosspost when appropriate. Even in 2022, I've seen useful crossposts between mail and slackware group, between newsreader and android group.
