@Gina As I tooted just before, how would this affect Mastodon? Gab has nothing to do with the fediverse as it's been blocked and isolated by pretty much every instance out there.

@iah I use MeWe. There isn't a fediverse group associated with it that I'm aware of. It's not bad. Their privacy policy is dead simple, they do moderate but they don't censor. They don't sell your information.The only downsides are, they're not open source and they do use Google Analytics.They work for me as a FB alternative.

@kev Using Signal here too. I have Telegram but I use it for Linux group chats, most of which I'm actually not a big participator in. I might end up just removing Telegram altogether.

Ok Fosstodon, got a question. This may have been brought up before so I apologize if this is a repeat.Where is a good place to get music besides Amazon? I know about Bandcamp but they don't have everything I would want. Looking for a place to buy physical CDs and / or download in FLAC.

@kev Hey I'm following your Nextcloud setup for a Synology. MariaDB is giving me all sorts of trouble. Nextcloud is saying that the root user and password are incorrect no matter what I do. Do I need to reboot my Synology before installing Nextcloud?

@werwolf Void is a cool distro, but I find it tedious to maintain. I also find Arch a bit tedious to maintain but not nearly as much as Void.After using systemd for so long runit messes with my muscle memory for managing init.

Ok @fosstodon got a question! What's your favorite music player on Linux? I use Rhythmbox currently but I'm looking for something different. I've tried Strawberry but the interface just doesn't work with my brain. GTK is preferred but I'll look at QT as well.
