My wife told me that "coding course creators can be worse than used car salesmen because at least you're guaranteed to leave the store with a used car."We laughed, and I immediately went to my room to silently stare at the ceiling.

Jacob was one of our early students and he kept a nice online log reporting his evolution when taking our 3D software renderer module. 🙂🔗 https://cheeseisatrafficsignal.com/2021/05/learning-c-day-27-camera-controls/

The number of spam emails I get offering to "redesign my website" and "fix my SEO errors" is really getting to me. Maybe it *IS* that bad and I'm just in denial! 😅

Remember the final scenes of some old 90s movies where the hacker exposes a confession video of a dirty politician in all the screens of Times Square and that caused people to rise & rebel? Growing up is realizing that confessions like that are now broadcasted every day and nobody cares. 😅

If you're serious about learning and growing, you must go against everything your body is telling you to do and force yourself into embarrassing situations. It hurts and it's a lot harder to do that when you're young and "know everything." Old age helps immensely.

We make fun of people that call what they do inside Excel as "programming." I mean, I get it... these people can only code if they are running things on a specific app and it only makes sense in that context? Weird....proceeds to alt-tab and edit a .css file.

Remember when MSN Messenger showed your contacts what you were listening to on Windows Media Player? Well, I'll never forget when one of my students forgot about that and everyone was then able to see the name of the adult video he downloaded with LimeWire to "titillate the senses." 😅
