By the way, my website alpha.phundrak.com will now become defunct. It used to follow the develop branch of my repository, while the main branch was deployed to beta.phundrak.com. But as they are now respectively deployed to phundrak.com and beta.phundrak.com, alpha.phundrak.com is no longer useful.

@louis I’ve been using org mode to make my websites for quite a while now, but switching to Vuepress really takes a lot off of my mind! That and the CI publishing my website for me really is a nice feature to have, I really just have to modify my org files, commit, push, and voila!

I’m slowly spending more and more time inside #Emacs thanks to #mu4e, #elfeed, #mastodonel, #pdftools, #dired and quite a few other packages. I still haven’t hopped on EXWM full time, I really only use it on my Chromebook, and I can’t use it at work, but being able to do pretty much everything just with the keyboard really is a blessing!

The more I use VS Code and Eclipse at work, the more I appreciate #emacs and how comfortable it is.

What I really need now is an Emacs client for Discord and for Teams, but I doubt we’ll get either of them any time soon.

Now I'm wondering how feasible it would be to create a #nextcloud package for #emacs. And another package for synchronizing #elfeed with Nextcloud News

@hochata It requires GNOME Online Accounts, which I don’t have since I’m not using GNOME, and I doubt it implements features such as creating shareable links or commenting on files.

@hochata Yeah, that’s a pity. I doubt we’ll ever get viable Discord client alternatives, let alone Teams clients alternatives

I just had an idea of a package I could write for #emacs and #mastodonel: detect the language I’m writing in and set it as the language of the status. Because I always forget to set it.

@loke Well, there is Mahogany (https://github.com/stumpwm/mahogany) which aims to be a StumpWM-like Wayland compositor, but development is slow (last commit was about six months ago), and it wouldn’t compile last time I wanted to try it.

It’s crazy how I *never* remember the link syntax in Markdown. I never know which come first, the parenthesis or the square brackets, the link or the description, I just don’t know...#orgmode links, on the other hand...

I just tested, the website works locally, and I fixed the #Emacs files so they can work too. I must admit though, it’s really weird to now have an init.el of only three lines (though three lines loading 16 other files for a total of 5103 lines).

I should be good to go, I’ll just deploy temporarily the new website on a test subdomain before deploying it on https://config.phundrak.com

@BigEatie I’m going to advertise my own package, https://github.com/Phundrak/eshell-info-banner.elI made it for my own convenience of knowing the state of my computer when I open Eshell. It’s not something to consciously use, but rather it’s here, and it’s nice to see it when it appears.I eventually plan on making it more modular so people can chose in which order they want the various elements to appear, and even whether they want them to appear or not. It should make creating new modules easier too

I want to give another try at writing a dynamic array in C.I already did about three years ago (https://blog.phundrak.com/writing-dynamic-vector-c/), but I’d really like to give it another try, and make it more on par with C++’s std::vector and Rust’s std::vec::Vec, including iterators and allocators.

I finally got around to writing a CI for the new version of my configuration website! It’s currently live at https://beta.config.phundrak.com, and it should replace my current website somewhat soon.As with my conlanging website and my main website, it’s written in #orgmode and compiled to #markdown in order to finally compile the website with #vuepress. Navigation should be a lot smoother and clearer now! It’s also my first website I’m deploying with #gitea actions instead of DroneOh, and my code snippets finally have syntax highlighting!#vuejs #emacs

@louis I’m working on an Angular 7 project. I literally have over a thousand vulnerabilities, nearly a tenth are critical. I’m so desensitised now, it doesn’t even register anymore.Fortunately, I’m working on upgrading it to a more recent version.
