@clive I recently bought a trackball for work and I should just pretend I am playing Missile Command instead of writing or sound editing.

@clive I think my car park bit here might align with your interests. https://www.halifaxexaminer.ca/morning-file/around-the-edges-of-car-parks-the-joy-of-the-landscape-is-more-than-the-location-itself/#V1

@clive I don't know if you are a TWUC member, but we had a piece in the magazine (I'm the editor) on accessibility and books last year, and I thought I was fairly knowledgeable, but I learned a lot from it.

@clive @Leisureguy I learned the inverted pyramid too, but haven't thought about it in a long time. I do remember being struck at one point in reading Greek and Canadian newspapers that the Canadian ones seemed to assume (farther down in stories, anyway) that the reader was new to the issue and over-explained, while with the Greek ones, if I hadn't been following from the first reporting, I had very little idea what was going on.

@clive @shauna The thread prompted me to request the book from the library. Had been meaning to since hearing Singer on the War on Cars (and writing a bit about that for the Halifax Examiner.) And then there was the Boeing window blowout yesterday too.
