@dave thank you for the notes! Do I read it correctly that we are doomed here on masto, and that the tool must be rethought (and rewritten basically)?Does your work on bidirectional RSS (if it can be named like that) fits in this picture? I love RSS, I still can't get my head around activity pub as a hobyist Dev.

@whilelm @bortzmeyer ça je comprends bien, mais par quel vecteur? À supposer qu' il existe un outil pour changer l'image de boot qui propose un fichier image malveillant, qui va se laisser "tenter" par un changement d'image de boot? Ça me semble vraiment une niche. Ou alors un revendeur ferait cela avant de livrer la machine au client? C'est plus l'aspect social engineering que je ne trouve pas évident pour ce type d'attaque pour être plus clair.

@evan @timbray @simon would it work to host wherever you want then rely on archive.org for, well, the long term archive part? Another option would be distributed filesystems like ipfs and ask friends to relay as much as possible.
