@rms Swedish law permits burning holy books if your message is directed towards e.g. national or religious institutions, but not peoples or identities.Most of these cases are in a grey area, with the people performing them often being part of fringe political movements in Sweden or elsewhere.I don't think politicians nor voters advocate for changes in our freedom of expression laws, but I imagine many would be upset if antisemites regularly burned Torahs outside major US synagogues.

@kallekn Anti-nätjätte-högern är på andra alternativa sociala medier. Både Gab och Truth Social är sajter som bygger på Mastodon men befolkas av högerextremister, och det brukade finnas en stor närvaro av teknik-libertarianer på och kring bitcoinhackers.org, men de har nu flyttat till Nostr, ett annat socmed-protokoll.Vänstern, både de mer och mindre extrema delarna, blev kvar på Mastodon. Sedan dess verkar politiska mitten såväl som mainstream-högern känna att deras sort inte är lika välkomna

@kuprijanko @kallekn Jag tror inte den upplevelsen finns någonstans just nu. Bluesky lovar visserligen mycket, men än så länge verkar det bara sämre än Mastodon. Att sociala medie-landskapet splittras ytterligare längs politiska skiljelinjer är ju en ganska pessimistisk spaning, jag hoppas inte det fortsätter åt det hållet.
