@Teri_Kanefield Indeed. The attorney from South Carolina, Murdaugh, just found that out, though I think he would have been convicted even if he had not testified.

@Teri_Kanefield It's also interesting to listen to how Trump's lawyer spoke. Every word he said was accelerated to escape velocity, and he kept trying to talk over Ari Melber in an effort to make sure Ari couldn't get a word in edgewise. That's an attorney who doesn't believe in his own case and is deathly afraid of someone puncturing it if they're allowed to finish their sentence.

@asbestos @froggymctickles @ProPublica Clarence Thomas saying that he doesn't understand the most elementary rule of judicial ethics is proof positive that he is unqualified and unfit for a seat on SCOTUS. Newly-minted JDs have to know more than that for the ethics section of the bar exam. Thomas's presence on that bench is grotesque, but since he has neither shame nor integrity he won't resign.

@greeneralia @Teri_Kanefield Yes, as the Cable Commentariat often remind us, two things can be true at the same time. Meanwhile, CNN has selected a new image for its 2024 election coverage:
