@Penelope @IpseDixit I read that the sms 2FA was one of these things turned off. If you had the authenticator app it's supposed to work. However I've also seen comments like don't log out....

@auscovid19 Mark Butler announces ATAGI advice:✅ For over 18's Pfizer bivalent vaccine approval for 3rd and 4th doses✅ For under 5's severely immunocompromised and with specific health conditions can get Pfizer pediatric vaccine (from mid Jan 2023)✅ No recommendation for 5th dose at this timeLooks like a wait and see for all of us really. Would think that at least a 'please wear a quality mask in indoor or crowded settings' wouldn't have gone astray.#CovidIsAirborne #CovidIsNotOver #CovidAUS#CovidAustraliahttps://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-11-15/pfizer-omicron-covid-booster-available-australia/101654846

@auscovid19 Actually perhaps Mark Butler made a mistake. ATAGI's statement about the pediatric Pfizer says 6 months to 4 years of age.Moderna's pediatric vaccine is up to 5 year olds.https://www.health.gov.au/news/atagi-recommendations-on-use-of-the-pfizer-covid-19-vaccine-for-children-aged-6-months-to-4-years

About time. A shame no one has has the guts to stand up and do this 2 years ago when we had plenty of evidence forming. Covid sars2 is a biohazard level 3 virus. You can not contain it with lukewarm measures, and those facing it daily in their workplace need protection, help, and support to do their jobs. This includes teachers, ambos, police and retail workers, and others who are exposed daily.https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/jan/13/wales-coroner-rules-nurses-covid-deaths-as-industrial-disease@auscovid19 #CovidIsNotOver #COVIDisAirborne

Scientific American. 14 February 2023Some pretty large estimates of case numbers and a pretty sobering read. Please mask up with a quality mask, test and isolate, clear your air. It's 💯percent necessary to slow down the transmission rate."Although 16 million U.S. sufferers is a reasonable estimate of the condition's toll, there are other, more dire assessments. A meta-analysis of 41 studies conducted in 2021 concluded that worldwide, 43 percent of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 may develop long COVID, with about 30 percent—translating to approximately 30 million people—affected in the U.S. Some studies have offered more conservative numbers. A June 2022 survey reported by the U.S. National Center for Health Statistics found that among adults who had had COVID, one in five was experiencing long COVID three months later; the U.K. Office for National Statistics put the estimate at one in 10. Even if only a small share of infections result in long COVID, experts say, they will add up to millions more people affected—and potentially disabled."https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/long-covid-now-looks-like-a-neurological-disease-helping-doctors-to-focus-treatments/@auscovid19 #LongCovid#CovidIsNotOver#CovidIsAirborne

There have been earlier reports that molnupiravir use appears to aid in the rise of a large number of variants. It would appear that this paper is providing the evidence to back up these earlier claims. It is co-authored by a number of the covid variant tracers. We are losing tools in fighting this virus. Is much better if we slow down its spread. #WearAMask N95.@auscovid19 #CovidIsNotOver#CovidIsAirbornehttps://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-023-06649-6

Possum Update: Chewie is a little unhappy that the ringtail has been pinching her sleeping spot in the far tray. She is in there today surrounded by the ringtails work. I gave her some banana for breakfast#BrushtailPossum #PossumsOfMastodom
